What does it look like when we work together?
Buying a home will most likely be the biggest investment you will make, but don't worry - you don't have to go it alone. Whether you're in the market for a new home for the first time (or the 3rd), I will be will you every step of the way. It is never too early to start preparing! I understand that it can feel a little daunting, and trying to find the perfect place can be frustrating at times! I am here to help ease some of the stress - we can chat about all the pros and cons of each house we tour, so that you can come to the best decision. I will explain each step of the process and will work to negotiate to get you the best deal possible.
The home buying process
Step one.
Find an agent that you are comfortable with! This is so important, because your agent will be your main point of contact and confidant for the next couple of months! Look for an agent that will be happy to explain every step along the way, and is available to answer all of your questions.
Step two.
Get pre-approved! This is such an important step! Once you are pre-approved, you will know your price range down to the dollar. This will allow you to shop with confidence, save time and be a competitive buyer. Sellers need the security of knowing you are qualified to purchase before allowing you in their home. Sellers will be cleaning, removing pets and kids and they need the peace of mind knowing you have been vetted.
Step three.
Time to start hunting for the perfect house! This is my favorite part! We will spend time, touring the homes that you are interested that are in and you're strongly encouraged to attend open houses. We will look until you find the home that is the one. :)
Step four.
When you're ready, we will work closely together to create a strong offer. I will draft the offer for your review, and we will discuss it in detail. I will negotiate on your behalf to try to secure you the best deal.
Step five.
Once the offer is accepted, you are officially under contract! Now is the time to conduct due diligence. Home inspections will take place to inform you of the condition of the property that may not have been readily apparent when we went on a showing. Negotiations may take place regarding the inspection during this time.
Step six.
After inspections, appraisal and title work is completed - it is closing day! This is the day you've been waiting for! Paperwork will be signed and you will receive the keys to your new home!
